A beautiful Olivetti portable manufactured in Glasgow for the UK market in 1962. This very popular model was awarded the Compasso d'oro prize in 1954 and in 1959 the Illinois Institute of Technology chose the Lettera 22 as the best design product of the last 100 years. The typewriter has been fully serviced with a new ribbon fitted and is in excellent original condition. It writes very well with a nice light touch to the keys, and has a standard elite typeface giving you 12 characters to the inch. The machine is supplied with the carry case and original user instructions. A fine example of this top quality model.
